Altrincham FC will host local MP Connor Rand as the next guest speaker for its Business Club. The event is scheduled for this Friday, September 25, at the Club Alty 1891 venue within The J.Davidson Stadium.
Connor Rand, the 33-year-old Labour MP for Altrincham and Sale West, was elected in July 2024 with a majority of 4,174 votes. He has since spoken in Commons debates on issues including High Street renewal, Jewish community safety, and the Infants, Parents and Carers Bill. His talk will give supporters and local businesspeople a direct look at his parliamentary work.
The Business Club, which celebrated its fifth anniversary last month, has previously featured high-profile speakers like referees Anthony Taylor and Chris Foy. Friday's meeting will begin with tea, coffee, and hot breakfast rolls, followed by the talk and networking time, concluding around 10 am. Membership for the 2026/27 season remains available.
This off-field engagement comes as the team enjoys a strong run of form. Altrincham sit 10th in the National League with 15 points from nine games, having won four of their last five matches. Their next challenge is a home fixture against ninth-placed AFC Hornchurch on Saturday, September 26, a game you can preview on our fixtures page. The first-team squad, buoyed by recent wins, is detailed on our squad list.
