Altrincham take a three-match winning run into Saturday's National League fixture away at Woking. Neil Gibson's side will look to continue their improved form at the Laithwaite Community Stadium with a 3pm kick-off.
The Robins have climbed to 12th place in the table with nine points from six games, having recovered from losing their opening three matches of the season. Their most recent outing was a 2-1 home victory over Eastleigh on September 4th, sealed by a 55th-minute winner from Liam Humbles.
Manager Neil Gibson, who previously managed Wealdstone and teams in Wales, oversaw a busy summer of recruitment. Experienced forward Kane Hemmings arrived after spells with Barnsley and Rangers, while young winger Sam Taylor joined on a free transfer from Tranmere and has already registered an assist.
Recent turnaround
After defeats to Southend, Sutton United and Boston United to start the campaign, the form has flipped dramatically. A 2-1 win at FC Halifax Town on August 28th was followed by a 2-1 victory at Forest Green Rovers three days later, before the Eastleigh result made it three wins on the bounce.
This weekend's opponents, Woking, took four points from the two meetings between the sides last season. That included a memorable away win for the Cards at Altrincham, with Josh Kelly on the scoresheet.
Altrincham have been ever-present in the National League for seven years since winning promotion from the National League North. Their highest finish of fourth was achieved under former manager Phil Parkinson.

Tickets for the match are available online and on the gate. Online prices for standing areas range from £5 for under-14s to £23 for adults, while seated tickets are priced from £6 to £25. Food and drink outlets will be open around the ground.
