Altrincham will aim for a fourth consecutive National League victory when they travel to face Woking on Saturday. Manager Neil Gibson has warned his squad they must be at their best to overcome a side he believes is in a false league position.
Gibson's team head south in strong form, having beaten Eastleigh 2-1 last time out with goals from T. Crawford and L. Humbles. That result lifted them to 11th place in the table with nine points from six matches. Their recent run reads three wins and two losses, putting them seven points behind leaders Boreham Wood.
Gibson's pre-match assessment
"I'm really looking forward to this weekend's game at Woking," Gibson told the club's media team. "We've spent a lot of time analysing them, as we do with every opponent."
The manager emphasised the need to maintain the current momentum. "So, we know we have to be at our best to keep our excellent run of wins going," he added. "The lads are full of confidence, training has been really good this week and we want to keep this momentum going."
