Altrincham FC hosts charity match at The J.Davidson Stadium
Altrincham FC is proud to host the Once Upon a Smile Celebrity Team at The J.Davidson Stadium for a charity match against Wythenshawe Vets on Sunday, April 26th. The match promises to be an exciting event, with a team of celebrity friends and retired footballers taking on the Wythenshawe Vets squad.
What's the story behind the match?
The Once Upon a Smile Celebrity Team is back for one game only this April, taking on the Wythenshawe Vets Team for the families of Isaac and Ellis. The Wythenshawe Vets are a squad of retired professional footballers, including Papiss Cissé, Danny Drinkwater, Stephen Ireland, and Emile Heskey, to name just a few.
Who's playing for the Once Upon a Smile Celebrity Team?
Confirmed so far for the Once Upon a Smile team include Emmerdale's Joe-Warrant Plant, Jay Kontzle, and James Hooton, as well as This is England's Tom Turgoose. Plus, former Premier League players Wes Brown, John O'Shea, Glenn Whelan, and Chris Eagles.

The special match is brought to you by the incredible families in memory of Isaac and Ellis. Both families have been supported by the charity, and we are so grateful to them for courageously sharing their journey and for hosting this event alongside Altrincham FC.
