Altrincham FC Foundation's team of seven, led by Head of Foundation Simon Dow, embarked on the grueling Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for the club's programs in Altrincham and Trafford. The team's determination and teamwork paid off as they reached the summit, achieving an incredible sense of accomplishment.
What Happened?
The team of seven, consisting of Grahame, Dan, Mattie, Abbie, William, Marc, and Simon, set off at 6am on Friday, July 17th, ready to tackle the 24-mile route featuring over 1,500 meters of ascent across Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. The climb became even more demanding as the sun came out in full force, with the heat taking its toll on the team.
