Altrincham FC is deeply saddened to announce the passing of former director and financial officer, Mike Adams, who died today on his 79th birthday. Mike was a dedicated supporter of Altrincham FC for 46 years, spending 25 of those years as a season ticket holder. He was often seen quietly enjoying matches from the back of the Main Stand, demonstrating his unwavering love for the club. Originally hailing from the Black Country, Mike had a successful career as an accountant after graduating from university. After retiring early, he chose to give back to his community by volunteering at Altrincham FC in 2006, where he took charge of the club’s finances. His expertise and leadership were invaluable, helping the board navigate the club's financial landscape responsibly. Mike stepped away from his duties in 2024, leaving behind a legacy defined by integrity and genuine care for Altrincham FC. The club extends its deepest condolences to Mike’s family and friends during this difficult time. In tribute, a minute's applause will be observed before the match against Truro City on Saturday, 7th March. Rest in peace, Mike.
